The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has opened recruitment for the following roles to join the Quality Standard Advisory Committee (QSAC) for falls:
- Physiotherapist
- Social Care Manager
NICE works with independent Quality Standards Advisory Committees (QSAC) to develop quality standards for a range of settings and audiences related to health and social care pathways or service areas. Derived from evidence-based guidance, these standards are significant levers for improvement in quality across the health and social care system.
Chairs and members of the QSACs are drawn from health and social care practitioners, academia, patients, service users and carers. They do not represent their organisations but are selected for their expertise, experience of working with multidisciplinary and lay colleagues and understanding of evidence based health and social care.
Specialist committee members will work in collaboration with the standing members of the QSAC and the NICE Health and Social Care Quality Programme, drawing on their sound and detailed understanding of the policy context in this area to produce a quality standard on falls.
The deadline for applications is 20th June 2014 at 17.00.
